Chautauqua Institution
The Chautauqua Institution was founded in 1874 and is a non-profit organization located on beautiful Chautauqua Lake. Chautauqua Institution was also presented with the Silver Award at the International Awards for Livable Communities, also known as the LivCom Awards. It has performance venues, a hotel, a golf course, tennis courts, and educational and recreational facilities. For nine weeks each year, from late June through late August, the Institution offers a rich blend of arts, programming and recreational activities. Chautauqua Institution is many things!

Midway Amusement Park

Midway Amusement Park is a historical amusement park located on beautiful Chautauqua Lake established in 1898. The Park is also recognized as the 15th oldest amusement park still operating. Midway Park offers 18 amusement rides, miniature golf, go-karts and rock climbing. In 1915 a museum, gift shop and concession stands were established and are still in operation today. There are also picnic grounds that are frequently used for family reunions.
